Privacy Policy
Last updated: [DATE]
Draft. This policy is being reviewed and may change before DocReq's full launch.
DocReq is a product of 3PG Solutions, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through docreq.com and the DocReq application, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Two kinds of information
Information about you as a visitor or customer. For example, what you type into our "Request a demo" form, or the name and email of a firm's staff accounts.
Information our customers put into DocReq. Law firms use DocReq to request and collect documents from their own clients. For that information, the law firm decides what is collected and why, and we process it on the firm's behalf and under its instructions. If you are a firm's client, please contact the firm with questions about your documents.
What we collect
- Demo requests: your name, work email, firm name, firm size and any message you choose to send.
- Account information: names, email addresses, phone numbers and roles of the people who use DocReq.
- Client documents and case details: the files clients upload, the requests and due dates firms set, comments and review decisions.
- Activity and technical data: sign-ins, actions taken in DocReq (for the firm's activity log), and standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, used for security and troubleshooting.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It loads its typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers when you visit.
How we use it
- To answer demo requests and provide, secure and support DocReq.
- To send the emails DocReq is designed to send, such as document requests, reminders and sign-in codes.
- To keep DocReq secure, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use client documents for advertising.
AI features
Firms can choose to turn on AI features, such as automatic checks of uploaded documents and an assistant that answers questions about the firm's cases. When they are on, the relevant document or case details are processed by AI models through Amazon Bedrock, with processing kept in the United States. Amazon Bedrock does not use this data to train AI models. AI results are suggestions shown to the firm; they do not approve or reject anything on their own.
Where information is stored and how it's protected
DocReq runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Uploaded files are stored encrypted and are opened only through short-lived links. Each firm's data is kept in its own database, and access within a firm is controlled by role. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run DocReq, including Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, email delivery and AI processing) and MongoDB Atlas (database hosting). They may only use the information to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business, subject to this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep demo requests for as long as needed to follow up with you. Firm data is kept for as long as the firm uses DocReq, and deleted or returned when the firm asks or its account ends, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. [CONFIRM RETENTION PERIODS]
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete information about you by emailing admin@docreq.com. If your information was provided by a law firm, we will work with that firm to respond.
Children
DocReq is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let customers know.
